This program from our catalog is not on our current schedule of courses. For additional information email executive.education@uncc.edu

Organizations are increasingly facing cyber security risks and potential loss of value due to security breaches. Executives who are familiar with key issues and best practices in cyber security are better prepared to protect their enterprises against various cyber security threats. Participants will learn about how to respond to and recover from cyber security incidents. They will also learn how to protect information assets by using various security countermeasures such as firewall, intrusion detection systems, cyber insurance, and vulnerability patching. Frameworks for understanding the cost and benefits of investing in cyber security will also be covered.

Because cyber security is a very extensive topic, this course is only intended to provide an overview of the key cyber security issues from a managerial perspective. The goal is for participants to gain a basic understanding that will help them further explore specific areas in cyber security.
